About the studio
Overgear is a small, independent studio. We make games for people who want to get better at something real while they play.
Learning is the game
We don't bolt a quiz onto a game. In Kotodama Quest every attack is a word you remember, and the harder way you answer, the harder you hit: typing deals 1.25 times the damage, drawing the kana 1.5 times, saying it aloud twice as much.
We build the whole thing
The art direction, the native apps for iPhone and Android, and the servers that keep your saves, raids and leaderboard running are all made here.
Fair to players
No passwords to remember: sign in with Apple, Google or a one-time email code. Delete your account from inside the game whenever you like. Free to play, with one optional monthly pass.
